Rafting/kayaking class II and III-IV, Nature Experience, 3 nights outdoors with campfire & tent.
Day 1
We leave early in the morning from La Ceiba towards San Esteban in Olancho, the “wild east” of Honduras. Here we find cowboys riding horses wearing boots, jeans, cowboy hat. The transport takes approx 5 hours. We strap our gear in the raft/kayaks and float another 3 hours downriver on easy class II rapids. We set up camp, the first of 3 nights sleeping under the stars of the northern hemisphere.
Day 2 & 3
Rafting/kayaking through breathtaking nature. We float through a beautiful gorge, the rock colors changing every once in a while, experiencing really long, fun class III rapids. Nights are out on river banks at the campfire. Lots of jungle, birds/animals, 2 authentic villages.
Day 4
After campfire-coffee and breakfast it is still a good ½ day of rafting to reach the Bridge of La Balsa, our take-out. Our adventure vehicle picks us up and after 4h we are back in La Ceiba.
